Now we know how Santa feels.
With today already December 4, that means there are just 16 days till the deadline for nominations for the 2019 Times-Journal Star, the last one of the “teens.”
Each year since John Elkan was named the first T-J Star back in 1992, we’ve used the first issue of the year to honor someone who’s positively impacted his or her community over the last 12 months in ways that aren’t job-related.
In 2018, Georgia VanDyke was our Star for her hands-on passion for Schoharie County.
But now we’re looking for her successor—and we need your help and nominations before 5pm on December 20.
Nominations can be made in a variety of ways:
• Email them to email@example.com and put TJ Star in the subject line.
• By phone, (518) 234-2515.
• By fax, (518) 234-7898.
• By mail, PO Box 339, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
Nominations should include the name of the person being nominated and why he or she deserves to be the next T-J Star.
We also need the name of the person doing the nominating as well as their contact information in case we have questions or want more information.
