Although SALT has given their volunteer seamstresses a summer break, the organization remains actively involved in the effort to assist with keeping the county citizens safe during COVID-19.
SALT (Schoharie Area Long Term) has been working with the County Office of Emergency Services (OES) since spring to have protective face coverings made and distributed throughout Schoharie County.
As Governor Cuomo has taken the state through the various phases of re-opening, SALT has continued to supply agencies, small businesses, and individuals with protective masks and hand sanitizer.
Now that churches are reopening, they need to follow New York State’s guidelines for safe gatherings and SALT has been asked to distribute masks and sanitizer to county churches that request them as part of the ongoing effort to keep our residents healthy.
If any church has not yet received these items but needs them, contact SALT.
To request a delivery of masks and sanitizer for your church, send an email to email@example.com or call the SALT office: (518)295-7258.
